Online Therapy for Trauma
You’re waiting for the other shoe to drop, you can’t relax, and you’re always tired
You’ve done the work—or at least, you’ve tried. You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, practiced breathwork, and maybe even spent years in therapy. Yet, something still feels stuck. You always feel like something bad will happen, or your mind tends to go to the worst-case scenarios. Despite your best efforts, certain triggers, emotions, or physical sensations continue to resurface, leaving you frustrated and exhausted. Maybe you’ve experienced a traumatic event firsthand, or perhaps you witnessed something that changed you forever. Either way, the impact lingers in ways you can’t fully explain. You might feel disconnected from yourself, easily overwhelmed, or like you’re just going through the motions of life instead of actually living. You’re exhausted and ready for something different—something deeper.

Online Therapy for Trauma with Brainspotting Can Help!
If you’ve never heard of brainspotting, you’re probably thinking what the hell is that? If you’ve been to therapy before, maybe you’ve heard of EMDR? If so, it is a bit similar (and actually originated from EMDR). Brainspotting is not talk therapy. We are not talking through your trauma and dissecting every little bit of it. When you experience something traumatic, it is held in the subcortical brain. Talk therapy does not activate this part of your brain, but brainspotting does. So if you’ve already done talk therapy for your trauma, that’s probably why you don’t feel completely “healed.”
How does it work? What will we do?
In simple terms, brainspotting is based on the theory that where you look, affects how you feel. Here’s how it goes:
We identify an issue you would like to work on. This could be a memory, feeling, or thought (It’s up to you if you would like to explain it in detail, but it’s not necessary).
You let me know how distressing this situation, memory, etc feels on a scale of 0-10
You identify a spot in your body where you feel this correlates. For example, if you feel anxious thinking/talking about it, then you might feel tightness in your chest.
With my pointer, I guide your eyes across the screen and we identify a spot based on your feedback (or my observation) where this feeling in your body either intensifies or feels calm
Then, you focus on the point and your brain does the work of processing! I check in with you periodically to see how you’re feeling, as you may have bodily sensations and emotions coming up- which is completely normal
Towards the end of the session, I check on that 0-10 number to see where you’re at, and we may or may not debrief depending on how you feel after
Real Clients, Real Results
Here are things my clients tell me after brainspotting. This can be after one session or many sessions depending on the issue they are working on:
I generally feel lighter
The same situation came up, and I didn’t react as strongly as I had in the past
I can walk around my neighborhood without being scared
I no longer feel like I need to carry my pepper spray and taser walking around the block
The same thought doesn’t bother me like it used to
I no longer worry about my closest family members dying in terrible ways
That intrusive thought doesn’t bother me or come up anymore
I can experience the same trigger as in the past, but I don’t care about it anymore
My relationship has improved and I no longer hold resentment
I feel more confident
I was able to process something I’ve never talked about out loud
I no longer feel (point of pain, tension) in my body
And more!
I Know What You Want
You want real relief. Not just coping strategies, but true healing. You want the outcome others have experienced above. You want to be able to move through life without constantly feeling on edge, without the weight of past experiences holding you back. You want to feel safe in your body, present in your relationships, and in control of your emotions. Most of all, you want to finally process and release what’s been keeping you stuck so you can step into the version of yourself that you know is waiting on the other side of this. And you deserve it.

There are many different approaches to therapy, and I am not trained in all of them. In my experience, simply talking about trauma does not do the trick. A brain based therapy, like brainspotting works very well for some people.
